The Briefing

ModaModa was first developed in collaboration with Professor Haeshin Lee who received his Ph. D. in biomedical engineering at Northwestern University. Their goal was to create the ultimate solution to a healthy scalp and hair. They did this by creating the first natural hair-darkening shampoo that utilized nature’s anti-oxidation principles. MODA MODA’s products are backed by science and clinical studies, and more than 210 papers describing Professor Lee’s polyphenol studies have been published since 2008. These articles have been published in world-renowned journals such as NATURE, SCIENCE, Nature Materials, Nature Biomedical Engineering, and Science Advances – just to name a few. 

The challenge

The challenge was to showcase the benefits of using ModaModa’s all-in-one natural hair-darkening shampoo in a single video that utilized both factual information and humor to keep the viewer’s attention. The product takes about 3 weeks to dye the gray hair, but the video shoot took place within a single day. So, with the help of our production team and our fantastic hair and makeup stylist, we solved that issue and accurately recreated the effects of using the hair-darkening shampoo on location.

The goal

The goal of this specific project was to increase online brand awareness and inform potential consumers of how ModaModa’s shampoo worked. Our strategy of having our actors talk directly to the camera and utilizing sleek motion graphics aided in the process of both capturing and retaining audience viewership.

 

The strategy

We hired professional and attractive models to capture the eyes of those scrolling on social media channels. And our clean-looking video matched with a simple, yet high-quality message immediately informed viewers of the production value and drew in their curiosity to the product.
