Ottogi America, Inc. was established in Los Angeles, California in May 2005 and has grown rapidly in US market with the exclusive knowledge and experience of Korean foods. The top priority of our mission is serving America with a diversity of high qualified Korean food products, such as Ottogi brands which have been proven their #1 marketability and popularity from many other countries in Asia and Eastern Europe.

The challenge

The goal

The goal of this project was to market/advertise Ottogi Jin Ramen to a very specific target audience that plays mobile & PC games so Ottogi can attract a new set of Ottogi fans!

The strategy

To achieve the goal, we came up with a story, where a group of PC gamers lose their game due to a lack of “Jin Ramen” in their system. After eating Jin Ramen, back on game with full of energy, they earn the victory. The message we are trying to deliver to the gamers is that if you are a gamer, you want to try Ottogi Jin Ramen! Jin Ramen represents the same excitement as playing games. Make yourself a better gamer! Also, in order to emphasize on the ‘gaming’ theme, we used lots of neon and LED strip lights in the background to grab attention. Also, we made the 15-sec ad to be mobile-friendly and vertical ratio because the ad was going to run on mobile game apps.
